Our Mission

The Family Law Section of the Florida Bar is committed to the principle that all persons will have equal access to all programs, facilities, services and employment without regard to personal characteristics unrelated to ability, performance or qualifications as determined by The Florida Bar policy and/or applicable laws. The Family Law Section seeks to increase diversity and inclusion in The Family Law Section so that it will reflect the demographics of the state, to develop opportunities for community involvement, and make leadership roles within the profession and The Family Law Section accessible to all attorneys, including, but not limited to, those individuals who are racially, ethically, and culturally diverse, women, members of the LGBTQ community, persons with disabilities and any other persons possessing any other characteristic protected by law. The Family Law Section prohibits discrimination, harassment, retaliation and bullying against any person because of age, ancestry, ethnicity, color, disability or handicap, national origin, geographical region, race, religion, gender, sexual or affectional orientation, gender identity, appearance, matriculation, socioeconomic status, political affiliation, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
